Chair Judy Tarver read Town Hall updates on April 2 and said a community forum is scheduled for Thursday, April 9 from 6–8 p.m. at the Senior Center, with open houses planned for April 12 (South Yarmouth) and April 13 (West Yarmouth). The committee also reviewed outreach plans including distribution of flyers at local events and coordination with the Chamber of Commerce.
Tarver reported material from the 1998 Yarmouth Town Report showing the South Yarmouth Library deed was transferred to the town for $1 via Article 17 at the 1998 Annual Town Meeting. The committee agreed to refer the deed and any constraints on future use to Town Counsel for guidance; Assistant Town Administrator Amy Frigulietti will make that referral.
Committee members said communications work is underway: Cape Media is producing video B-roll, the Communications Team will run a radio spot, and staff will follow up on a draft FAQ brochure. Mindy Herington noted she has not yet received a response from the school about a D-Y (school) blast to help promote events; Chair Tarver said she will follow up.
Procedural business at the meeting included approval of the March 26, 2026 minutes (motion by Tom Pendleton, seconded by John Grieco; vote 4–0) and a motion to adjourn at 6:48 p.m. (motion by Tom Pendleton, seconded by John Grieco; vote 4–0).
