The Oley Valley School District Board of School Directors approved a series of committee motions and leadership elections at its June 16, 2026, regular meeting, and voted to contribute $20,000 toward an OBCF satellite project.
The board took several bundled votes by roll call over the course of the evening. Budget and finance items listed as motions 1–10 were approved as presented, and policy motions 1–13 passed with an amendment to motion one to remove a blank name from the agenda. Personnel motions 1–13 were approved together, and curriculum motions were approved except for motion two, which the board tabled to correct a misspelled principal name.
In property and transportation business, motions 1–29 were approved. The board then considered motion 30, which authorized a $20,000 distribution toward an OBCF satellite project. During discussion a representative noted the full project cost was approximately $190,000 and that the district’s $145,000 figure did not cover all components; board members discussed using EITC funding as a potential additional source. After discussion the motion passed by roll call.
The board also approved motions 31–34 and accepted Boyertown Area School District students into the district’s agricultural tuition program.
In governance business, the board nominated and elected Mr. Klein to serve as the board treasurer for a one-year term beginning July 1, 2026, and elected Ms. Wang as board secretary for a four-year term beginning the same date.
The meeting concluded with routine reports, scheduling of July committee and regular meetings, and an adjournment. The board recorded when motions were taken and the roll call votes; minutes will show the full vote records and motion text.
