The Limington Select Board met April 16 and approved routine business before hearing a series of department reports and public notices.
The board approved the April 9 meeting minutes and approved payroll warrant #30 for $34,894.45 and appropriations warrant #34 for $41,505.68 (total $76,400.13) by voice vote.
Department updates included a Public Works report that listed roadside repairs, hot-box repairs, beaver-dam removals and a total of 209 combined labor hours for the week; the transfer station recorded 222 visits and $742 in revenue for the week, with a reported recycling participation rate of about 80.2%. Code enforcement reported 15 permits for the April 1—6-14 reporting period with fees totaling $4,963.80 and year-to-date permit revenue of $14,158.14. Limington Fire & EMS reported 16 calls (6 fire, 10 EMS) for the week and 195 year-to-date calls.
Parks & Recreation listed multiple upcoming programs (coffee social, pickleball, youth open gym, spring track, summer camp registration) and said the department is hiring for seasonal roles including summer-camp counselors and beachfront positions. Staff announced that an office assistant offer has been extended to Vicky Shane and that a code office assistant will begin 4/22 at 14 hours per week.
Town notices included an opening for a Limington seat on the Saco River Joint Cable Committee (the committee negotiates the cable franchise that begins in 2029), transfer station hours and sticker rules, and planning-board meeting dates.
The board adjourned at 8:22 p.m.
