At its June 2 meeting the North Berwick Select Board approved several administrative items and reviewed recent purchases.
Town staff member Dwayne Morin recommended switching the town’s health reimbursement arrangement (HRA) administrator from Flores to Consumer Health Solutions, citing delays in employee reimbursements, a hard‑to‑use portal, poor customer service and a perceived unwillingness by Flores to reimburse the town for an accidental extra payment. Dwayne said the town had not signed a prior contract and that Consumer Health Solutions charges $4.00 per employee per month versus Flores’s $5.50. Selectperson Jonathan Hall moved to allow Dwayne to enter a contract with Consumer Health Solutions; Selectperson Michael Johnson Sr. seconded and the motion passed 5‑0. Dwayne said Consumer Health Solutions requires a 30‑day transition period.
Dwayne informed the board that the town replaced the Town Hall security computer after the previous unit failed; the replacement—including hardware, software and installation—cost $2,800 and will create a negative balance carried into next year. He also reported that the police department located a 2025 Dodge Charger detective cruiser in Oklahoma (under 30,000 miles) and placed a deposit; an officer will drive the vehicle back to Maine.
The board reviewed and approved warrants: the May 26, 2026 warrant for $18,484.47 and the June 2, 2026 warrant for $121,424.41; Selectperson Jonathan Hall moved to accept both warrants, Rebecca Reed seconded, and the board voted 5‑0.
Selectperson Wendy Cowan moved to adjourn at 8:13 p.m.; Rebecca Reed seconded and the board voted 5‑0 to end the meeting.
