Planning Board schedules Oct. 16 hearings for subdivision, tourist home and equipment building

At the Sept. 18 meeting, the Town of Vienna Planning Board set a trio of public hearings for Oct. 16 and completed SEQR reviews on the applications presented.
Jeff Moore, acting for applicants, presented SUB2025-03, a proposed three-lot subdivision at 308 Drive 26. The Board completed an uncoordinated SEQR and declared a negative environmental impact; the Board set a public hearing for Oct. 16 at 7:05 p.m.
Moore also presented SUP2025-05, a proposed tourist home at 2042 Lake Shore Dr. He told the Board the property has six sleeping rooms and eight parking spaces and that he did not anticipate an increase in traffic because the property has functioned as a rental in prior years. The Board asked Moore to provide written confirmation of the number of sleeping rooms and said staff would check the Zoning Law for parking requirements. The Board completed SEQR (negative declaration) and scheduled a public hearing for Oct. 16 at 7:15 p.m.
For SUP2025-06, North Shore Prop. Maint. LLC proposed a 9,600 sq. ft. equipment building at 7596 NYS Rte. 13. The Board discussed setbacks (at least 30 feet from the south property line), demolition of an existing building currently near the proposed site, stormwater provisions during construction, and exterior lighting plans intended to keep light from shining onto Route 13. The Board completed SEQR (negative declaration) but noted the SEQR is coordinated and requires a 239m intermunicipal review; the Board set a public hearing for Oct. 16 at 7:25 p.m. Secretary Kathy Pavelock requested an electronic copy of the site plan for submission to the 239m review process.
Each hearing was set by recorded poll votes showing the five members present voting Aye; Miranda Ward was recorded absent.
