Lexington council approves real estate transfer, awards 24th Street paving contract and OKs $531,982.25 in claims

LEXINGTON, Neb. — The Lexington City Council on Feb. 10 unanimously approved a resolution to transfer real estate to the Community Development Agency of Lexington, awarded a $118,385 paving contract for 24th Street and approved claims and bills totaling $531,982.25.

Mayor John Fagot called the regular meeting to order at Lexington City Hall and confirmed that notice of the meeting had been published in the Lexington Clipper-Herald and that the Open Meetings Act is posted in the meeting room.

Councilmember Dora Vivas moved and Councilmember John Salem seconded approval of the minutes from the Jan. 27, 2026 regular meeting; the motion carried on a roll call vote with Councilmembers Jared Jacob, John Salem, Dora Vivas, Jeremy Roberts and Mayor Fagot voting "aye."
