Hinckley council proposes split of sewer material costs to resolve town sign boundary dispute

Hinckley — The Hinckley Town Council discussed a recorded property-boundary discrepancy during its June 4 meeting after town records showed the Hinckley town sign located on property owned by Aryn and Joshua Troseth.
Council members reviewed a boundary survey for Parcel H-2077-2 and related sewer system plans. The council noted town sewer blueprints indicate a manhole behind Caroline Palmer’s home where only a cleanout is present in the field. Council members referenced October 23, 2025 minutes showing former Mayor Brian Florang committed the town to pay or reimburse survey costs to adjust sign boundary lines and to survey a utility right-of-way.
To resolve the present discrepancy, the council proposed splitting sewer line extension material costs based on a Mountainland Supply quote of $3,802.32 and agreed the Troseths would bear the sewer line extension installation costs. Mayor Alan Miller said he would deliver the offer to Joshua Troseth. No formal agreement was recorded at the meeting.
