The motion to adopt both items carried; Mr. Kovacevic cast a recorded vote of “yes” on the purchase (item 1) and abstained on the installation (item 2), while other members voted to approve both items.
Earlier in the meeting the board approved the addition of a finance agenda item to accept a School Health quote to purchase four outdoor AED cabinets with strobe alarms at a total cost not to exceed $2,027.96; that addendum was included in the finance vote.
In Public Relations the board approved distribution of a budgeted allotment of $10,000 for the 2026–27 school year to the Lackland Memorial Library; that motion carried on roll call. Board members discussed band seating needs and noted the temporary nature of the visitor bleachers while watching how the new configuration performs during the season.
The board also authorized extracurricular travel: it approved an overnight trip for the high‑school girls varsity soccer team to attend a camp at California University of Pennsylvania July 18–22; fundraising will cover all costs and chaperones must meet district clearance requirements.
