Council members praised the service and its personnel during discussion and then approved the contract by motion. The current contract had been set to expire on June 30, 2026; the approved contract continues service under terms described as matching prior agreements.
The city manager noted that contract terms mirror previous five‑year agreements with Richmond‑Lenox EMS and that EMS Captain White was available to answer questions. The motion to approve passed by voice vote.
