On a separate item, Chief Pernice described the department’s license‑plate‑reader (LPR) system, saying it "showed videos" and that "they can search plates on the system and assist in an investigation anywhere in the country." Councilors asked Streets Supervisor Bob Phillips to review the layout of Municipal Lot #2 in light of a proposed ordinance change to alter front‑end/angled parking.
Council also deferred a separate zoning amendment discussion about small games of chance and allowing pools on vacant adjoining lots until the solicitor can attend a future meeting.
The discussion did not result in immediate ordinance changes; council directed staff to gather more information and to consult the solicitor before taking further action.
