Presenters said the estimated trip cost was $2,080 (total) with meal and destination line items noted; they also reported fundraising progress: “We have like $6,000 to $7,000” raised and described an upcoming bake sale to supplement funds.
The board asked about fundraising, chaperones and student safety. One board member raised concerns about traveling risks and said they were “worried” about sending students overnight, stressing the need for appropriate supervision; presenters said three chaperones and a bus driver room would be provided and that staff would monitor students. After questions, a board member moved approval, a second followed and the board voted to approve the trip by a 3–0 vote.
