Staff said the policy language was revised so the district’s audited financial monitoring references the current federal threshold for when a single audit is required. “The most significant change reflects the office of management and budgets revisions to uniform guidance which increased the single audit threshold from 750,000 to 1 million,” the presenter said, noting the change applies beginning with fiscal year 2026 audits.
The presenter described the update as an administrative alignment for auditing and compliance purposes; the item was provided as a study-session informational report and staff did not request formal board action at this time.
