Resident urges township action on roadside dumping near commercial staging area

At the June 17 meeting, resident Brian Brown (18 Winding Creek) raised concerns about persistent roadside dumping and people parking trailers and vehicles along Old Route 33 near the RV lot and the triangle on the north side, which he said had included dumped tires, bottles and car parts.
Brown said he has organized volunteers to pick up trash along Bergen Mills and Old 33 and asked township officials who owns the problematic property so the situation can be addressed. Township staff replied they know the property owner and had issued notices to remove vehicles and debris; staff said they would notify property owners and, if necessary, pursue violations and cleanup enforcement. The resident and officials agreed to follow up, and staff encouraged reports if the condition returns.
Township staff referenced previous successful cleanups and said the property owner has been engaged; they asked Brown to provide an updated email or report if problems continue so staff can contact the owner and, if needed, issue violations.
