Council approved an 11-item consent agenda and carried each motion by roll call. Ordinance 2026-12, which would amend chapter 284 of the code relating to handicap parking spaces, was introduced during the meeting and is scheduled for future consideration.
On the bike-lane contract, council member Tiger provided a short status update: "they'll be out within the next two weeks to start painting bike lanes," and said the work will cover Lagoon Boulevard, Harbor Beach Boulevard and other sections leading back to Brigantine Avenue. The city said lanes would be repainted for summer use.
