The Manitou Springs City Council approved its consent calendar at a short meeting on June 16, 2026, including authorization to enter into an agreement with Meyers and Suns Construction LLC for construction-manager/general-contractor services to replace the Lover's Lane Creek retaining wall.
Councilor Carrie Storm moved to approve the consent calendar — which also included presentation of warrants for May and approval of the June 2 meeting minutes — and Councilor Gloria Latimer seconded. “Move approval of consent calendar items one, two, and three,” Storm said. The motion carried unanimously.
Council members and staff had warned before the vote that they expected to lose quorum after the consent calendar because several presenters and some members were attending another mandatory meeting. As a result the council approved the consent items and postponed agenda items G4–G6, the proposed appointment to the planning commission and an executive session for later consideration.
The approved consent items described in the meeting record were: the city’s warrants for the previous month (May); minutes of the June 2, 2026 council meeting; and authorization to contract with Meyers and Suns Construction LLC for the Lover's Lane Creek retaining wall replacement. The transcript does not specify contract dollar amounts, funding sources or a contract number.
The council convened with Councilors Nate Nassiff, Carrie Storm and Gloria Latimer present and Mayor Pro Tim Judith Chandler presiding; John Shada and Julie Wolf were recorded as excused and Mayor Natalie Johnson was not connected. The meeting adjourned at 6:14 p.m.
