Jasper board introduces new assistant managers, approves multiple hiring backfills

Both were introduced briefly; Murray said he has been with the city about 10 years and Synindelick said he has been with the city about 12 years.
The board authorized staff to begin the hiring process to backfill the water distribution crew leader position and additional wastewater maintenance technician vacancies created by internal moves and an upcoming retirement. Wastewater Manager Ed Holland notified the board that Donnie Rashi will retire July 24 after 26 years of service; the board approved replacing his role.
Board members asked staff to return with final staffing plans and position descriptions before filling some internal positional changes; motions to authorize recruitment were approved by voice vote.
Next steps: staff will publish job postings, start recruitment for approved backfills and return to the board with proposed staffing plans and any revisions to position descriptions.
