Mayor announces board appointments, Depot Park and Heartland Trail work

The mayor said Depot Park and the Heartland Trail projects "to be completed this year," and noted the city will celebrate the country's 250th anniversary this year. No funding details, timelines beyond 'this year,' or contract awards were presented during the meeting.
Finance Director Strimlan told the council that the State Auditor released and approved the city's 2024 audit and Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR), and that those documents will be posted on the city website. Council President Paul Vance also noted that new committee assignments have been posted; no committee changes were debated during the meeting.
