Orrville council approves prior minutes and fund-balance motion, schedules March meeting

The Orrville City Council approved the minutes of its Feb. 2 regular meeting and passed a motion approving the December 2025 fund balance "subject to audit," the body said at its Feb. 16 meeting.
Council President Paul Vance called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m., and the council completed roll call with all members present. Council member Carr moved to approve the Feb. 2 minutes; Lax seconded and the motion passed by a unanimous voice vote.
Finance Director Strimlan presented the 2026 final appropriation schedule, the fourth-quarter 2025 investment report and the December 2025 fund-balance report. Carr moved to approve the fund balance subject to audit, Lax seconded, and the council again voted all ayes.
Mayor Plybon announced the next regular meeting will be held Monday, March 2, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. The meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m. after a motion by Squirrell and a second from Mace that passed unanimously.
