The Sahuarita Unified District governing board voted to renew RFP 2023-2, extending its banking-services arrangement with Wells Fargo for another year under the district’s five-year contract structure.
CFO Lisette Huey presented the recommendation on behalf of the superintendent, saying the RFP covers banking services used for procurement cards, online payments and leaves the option in place for lease financing if needed in the future. “This is year three for Wells Fargo Bank,” Huey said, adding that the district will continue to reevaluate services and solicit bids after the five-year term.
Board members asked whether the RFP would also cover procurement (coach) cards used across the district; Huey confirmed those services are part of the same system. The board approved the renewal by voice vote; the meeting transcript does not include a roll-call tally.
The renewal keeps the district’s current banking partner in place while preserving the ability to solicit new bids at the end of the five-year procurement cycle.
