Homeowner Cindy Rusq proposed replacing an existing gravel driveway and gravel parking pad with pervious pavers and extending the driveway by three feet to keep vehicles clear of the road for safer snow clearing. The work occurs within the 100‑foot buffer to a bordering vegetated wetland, but the applicant proposed pervious pavers and staff confirmed erosion-control details and cross-section specs.
Commissioners and staff reviewed plans, discussed the site’s proximity to the marsh and confirmed the paved area comes up out of the flood zone; Jen (staff) reviewed the cross‑section and erosion-control measures. Given the use of pervious pavers, the limited scope of change and the submitted details, the commission voted to issue a Negative 3 Determination (no further resource-area permit required) for the paver work.
Next steps: homeowner may proceed with pervious-paver installation under the terms of the Negative 3 Determination and the commission requested standard erosion-control measures around the limit of work.
