Wymore council approves routine claims, several checks amid abstentions

The Wymore City Council on Jan. 7 approved routine minutes and most claims and payroll, then voted separately on four check numbers that drew individual abstentions.
Mayor Collin Meints called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and the council first approved the previous meeting’s minutes. The council then approved claims and payroll except for check numbers 30719, 30724, 30727 and 30754, and proceeded to vote on those checks individually. The council approved checks 30719 and 30754 (motion by Sue Sapp; vote carried 3–0 with Council member Max Allen abstaining). The council approved check 30724 (motion by Max Allen; vote carried 3–0 with Council member Neil Van Boening abstaining). The council approved check 30727 (motion by Max Allen; vote carried 3–0 with Council member Curt Oblinger abstaining).
Council also approved attendance at the NEMSA Conference (with the NIS pre-conference) and the NE Statewide Conference for up to nine people in 2026, consistent with prior years; that motion carried 3–0 with Max Allen abstaining.
The meeting record shows multiple routine motions were approved without further conditions. The council adjourned at 7:54 p.m.
