Lower Pottsgrove outlines 2025 Fish Rodeo, Community Day, Easter Egg Hunt and summer concerts

At its Nov. 25 meeting the Parks & Recreation Board set dates and vendors for 2025 community events: Fish Rodeo (June 28), Community Day (vendors and a $400 petting zoo), Easter Egg Hunt (April 12, 4,000 eggs) and a six-week summer concert series running June 29–Aug. 3.
Lower Pottsgrove Township staff laid out dates and vendor plans on Nov. 25 for a slate of 2025 community events, including a Fish Rodeo, Community Day, an Easter Egg Hunt and a multi-week summer concert series.
Cronrath said the Fish Rodeo will be held June 28, 2025, at Sanatoga Park and that she is coordinating the event with the police department. She will inventory last year’s supplies and solicit donations from local businesses such as Wawa, Dunkin’ and Walmart; Fred Ebert is being approached as a potential sponsor.
Community Day planning began Nov. 13, Cronrath said. Confirmed food vendors include Deezys Cheesesteaks, Mr. Stickeys and Carnival Cravers; J.P. Mascaro and CW Pet Parties (a petting zoo) have agreed to attend. Cronrath said the petting zoo will cost $400; it is planned to sit by the hayride to increase nearby traffic. She is still seeking a DJ and additional vendors, and has reached out to Home Depot, PECO and the Montgomery County Health Department.
The township’s Easter Egg Hunt is set for April 12, 2025, with a rain date of April 19; the township plans about 4,000 eggs and prizes and will seek volunteers from the Pottsgrove softball team.
Cronrath confirmed the Summer Concert Series dates as June 29 and July 6, 13, 20 and 27, and Aug. 3, 2025. The township hopes to bring back performers from prior seasons, including Flaming Dicks and the Hot Rods, Barefoot Bobby and the Breakers, Pottsgrove Community Band, Bill Coss Combo and Stephanie Grace; board members suggested adding a bluegrass group.
No public commentators attended the meeting and the board did not take formal votes on event contracts or sponsorships during the session.
