Lower Pottsgrove Parks Board outlines 2025 events calendar including Fish Rodeo, Community Day and concert series

Cronrath said the Fish Rodeo is scheduled for June 28, 2025; organizers expect to use Kurtz Fish Farm for fish but the supplier is closed for the season and donations remain needed. Cronrath said she understands Ebert Engineering is expected to sponsor the event, but the board has not agreed on a sponsorship amount.
Community Day is set for Sept. 6, 2025; Cronrath listed planned vendors and attractions including the Montgomery County Health Department, Office of Children and Youth (foster care outreach), Pottsgrove Democratic Committee, Pottsgrove Recreation, Adventure Grove, H&K, Joe Ciresi, a petting zoo, PECO, hayrides, J.P. Mascaro, Deezee Cheesesteaks and Mr. Sticky's. Cronrath said a bounce house is being considered and funding is still being secured.
The Easter Egg Hunt is scheduled for April 12, 2025 with a rain date of April 19; Cronrath said eggs have been ordered, the Pottsgrove Softball Team will assist and required funding for that event has been procured. Cronrath also said all bands for the 2025 Summer Concert Series have been booked, contracts distributed and funding for the concert series has been obtained from J.P. Mascaro; donations of drinks are being sought.
Board members discussed logistics such as prize distribution, placement of the petting zoo next to hayrides to attract attendees, and volunteer help for events. Several items (exact sponsorship amounts and final vendor confirmations) remain outstanding and will return to staff for follow-up.
