Lower Pottsgrove schedules Fish Rodeo, Community Day and Easter Egg Hunt for 2025; organizers seek sponsors and vendors

She said the township will hold a Fish Rodeo on June 28, 2025, and staff are soliciting quotes from several fish farms to determine the cost of stocking; staff plan to ask Fred Ebert to sponsor the rodeo once a price is set. The Easter Egg Hunt is scheduled for April 12, with a rain date of April 19; flyers will be distributed to schools around St. Patrick’s Day and chocolate-bunny prizes still need to be purchased. For Community Day, Cronrath said the board preferred hiring a face painter rather than a balloon-artist and that a DJ and bounce house quotes have been obtained; she noted difficulty securing food vendors but reported positive responses from some potential sponsors. Cronrath added that Senator Pennychuck has confirmed attendance at Community Day and requested a list of all township community events.
The Summer Concert Series remains under contract negotiation: Cronrath said several band contracts are pending signatures and staff are also seeking donated beverages for the concerts; she said she would contact Landis to request water donations as in prior years.
