Lower Pottsgrove board votes to seek additional funding for Pleasantview park project

The shortfall led Tyler Tyson, a Parks and Recreation board member, to move that the board seek additional funding for the project; Brian Ward seconded the motion and the board voted 4-0 to proceed. William Keohane, a member of the Board of Commissioners and the township's representative to the Regional Park Committee, said the project's master plan was created around 2011 and the township sought an updated plan so it would be ready to act when funds became available.
The vote directs staff to pursue further funding opportunities, with Cronrath and a staff member named Trisha identified in the meeting as supporting fundraising efforts. Cronrath said Trisha will assist with finding additional funding and Keohane offered to help through the Regional Park Committee as projects are identified.
The board did not specify a target timeline for securing the remaining $7,480 or name a specific grant; meeting minutes record only the motion to seek additional funding and the unanimous vote. The item will return to the board for future updates or when a funding commitment is secured.
