"This is to establish the fund which is a restricted donations fund for the designated purpose of operation of a K9 unit or any donations to the K9 unit," the staff member said.
A council member moved to approve the resolution and another member seconded. After brief procedural remarks the council voted in favor.
The resolution was presented as an administrative measure to formalize acceptance and tracking of donated funds for the K9 program. Staff did not request county general‑fund dollars for program operations during the meeting; the fund is structured to accept restricted donations only.
