Duncan and other staff summarized the bid review and noted that Mow and Maintain’s pricing was competitive within the market range. Board members pointed to past responsiveness and the value of reliability when selecting a contractor for dispersed town grounds.
A representative from Mow and Maintain (owner Nick) joined via chat to thank the board, offer to assist with additional trimming work and confirm that the company offers electric mowers for some work. Board members discussed electric equipment as a consideration to explore in future RFPs, noting higher upfront costs for commercial electric mowers and battery replacements.
The motion to award the contract carried on a roll‑call vote. Staff said any additions (for example, the slope near the water storage building) could be added to the contract as change orders after follow‑up with the Water & Sewer Commission.
