Parker council approves grant-funded cameras at Pop Harvey Park

Chief Bailey said the Parker Police Department "respectfully requests the Council approve" a contract with Verkada/Occulenz (noted in the motion as AccuLens) to install the cameras as the second phase of a two-phase park security project. He said the total project cost is $53,942.58 and that there is "no fiscal impact to the town" because the work is funded by a grant through the Arizona State Crisis Intervention Program administered by the Arizona Criminal Justice Commission.
The motion to enter into the purchase agreement was moved and seconded and approved by voice vote.
The project will extend camera coverage at Western Park (recently completed) to Pop Harvey Park, Chief Bailey said. Council members noted the fiscal benefit of using the same vendor already under contract for the Western Park phase.
The council did not provide a roll-call tally in the public record; the motion was adopted by voice vote. The next step is execution of a purchase agreement with the vendor to begin installation.
