The Bowling Green City Commission approved a series of municipal orders to promote and appoint staff across departments.
Highlights: Parks director Brent Belchure recommended and commissioners approved the promotion of Randall Cochran to Crew Supervisor 2 (municipal order 2026-135); Larry Glass to Parks Facility Maintainer 2 (2026-136); and the probationary appointment of Philip Lopez to Parks Facility Maintainer I (2026-138). Public Works recommended promotion of Lori Eperson to Office Associate 2 (2026-137). The commission also approved appointments and reappointments to municipal boards including Bowling Green Municipal Utilities Board (appointment of Sarah Grace), Code Enforcement and Nuisance Board (reappointment of Jose Gonzalez) and multiple convention and airport board seats.
Why it matters: The variety of promotions and appointments reflects routine personnel management and board governance; staff presentations noted years of service, credentials such as aquatics operator certification, and the role of these employees in public services and maintenance.
Vote: Each municipal order was moved, seconded and approved by roll call during the meeting.
Next steps: Human Resources and relevant departments will complete appointment paperwork and coordinate onboarding or public-notice items for board memberships.
