Commissioners also asked the applicant to lower the shingle line or otherwise finish the foundation so that exposed foundation is limited (the commission cited a customary limit of about 12 inches). After discussion the board approved the design with the understanding that the demolition application must be signed and foundation finish details clarified before work proceeds.
Next steps: the applicant will file the separate demolition application and supply foundation finish details; once those items are resolved staff will verify compliance with the commission’s conditions before permitting.
