How to vote in Dennis: election date, polling places and absentee deadlines

The election is Tuesday, May 12. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. All five precincts will be open on election day at these locations: Precinct 1 — Fire Station 2; Precinct 2 — Dennis Senior Center (Dennis Center for Active Living); Precinct 3 — Dennis Public Library; Precinct 4 — 1867 West Dennis Graded Schoolhouse; Precinct 5 — Police Station.
There will be no in-person early voting for this election, but in-person absentee voting will be available in the town office through 12 noon on Monday, May 11. Voters who need a ballot by mail must submit vote-by-mail applications to the town office by 5 p.m. on May 5 to allow time for mailing. The town offers a ballot-tracking service at www.trackmyballotma.com to check application receipt, when a ballot is mailed, and when a completed ballot is returned to the town office.
Bunce said ballots will be sent to the polls on election day (no advanced tabulation) and that the forum recording will be posted online and broadcast on channel 1072. Town meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, May 5 and — if needed — a second night of Town Meeting would be Monday, May 11.
