At the June 18 meeting the Village of Hanover Park board approved several agenda items by roll call: an amendment and adoption of Ordinance 7A10 to amend Chapter 6 (the Hanover Park sign code), a contract award via waiver of competitive bidding, and approval of warrants.
Ordinance 7A10: Trustees debated a proposed change to sign rules and Trustee Kunkel moved to extend the allowable use period for a new business "feather" sign from 30 days to 60 days. The amendment was moved, seconded and approved by roll call; the ordinance was then approved by roll call. (Recorded roll calls show the amendment and ordinance carried with trustees voting in favor during the item’s recorded roll calls.)
Contract award (agenda item 7811): The board voted to waive competitive bidding and approve a proposal from Professional Pre-stressed Services in the amount of $59,400 and authorized the interim village manager to execute the necessary documents; a two-thirds corporate-authority vote was required and recorded in favor.
Warrants (agenda items 7812, 7813): Trustees approved Warrant 6/18/2026 in the amount of $211,269.51 and approved warrants paid in advance for 6/2/2026–6/10/2026 in the amount of $764,194.99 after motions and roll calls.
These items were handled as part of the consent and business portions of the agenda; discussion on 7A10 included the specific 60-day amendment and was the only substantive change called out during that ordinance item.
