Select Board approves transfer of alcohol license and outdoor-hours limits for Lighthouse Inn

Attorney Jamie Viera, representing the applicant, said the new owner seeks to continue the existing hours and add limited outdoor entertainment for events such as off-season weddings. "We would certainly like to have the outdoor," Viera said, but acknowledged sensitivity to neighbors and proposed outreach and operational constraints.
Neighbors raised concerns about outdoor noise and the town's noise ordinance. Resident Cheryl Kelly noted the town noise ordinance prohibits noise past 10 p.m. and urged the board to account for that in any outdoor hours. Former owner Gregory Stone said historically outdoor activity rarely extended past 9 p.m.
After discussion the board approved the transfer, named Theodore Zambelis as the on-site manager, and set entertainment hours as follows: indoors Monday9Saturday 1 p.m. to 1 a.m.; indoors Sunday 1 p.m. to 11 p.m.; outdoors Monday9Saturday 1 p.m. to 10 p.m.; outdoors Sunday 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. The board added a condition that outdoor speaker arrays be aimed away from the residential neighborhoods to the east to help limit noise.
The motions to approve the transfer, manager appointment, premise alterations and entertainment hours passed unanimously.
