Klamath County commissioners approve appointments, agreements and opt-in resolutions in unanimous votes

The Klamath County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved a series of routine actions during its Feb. 17 business meeting, including appointments to local boards, amendments to public-health intergovernmental agreements, and resolutions opting into Oregon’s trail-use immunity statute.
Commissioner Minty read items for the record and Commissioners DeGroot and Minty recorded motions and seconds as required for formal approvals. Actions recorded included appointments of Alivia Dibrito and Sarah Utley to the Developmental Disabilities Advisory Committee and the appointment of Christine Hess as a Budget Committee alternate. The board also approved appointments to the Klamath Vector Control District Board (Rebecca Hirschbock and Patricia Logan) and Ron Theall to the Woodland Park Special Road District.
Klamath County Public Health items were approved after presentation by county staff: Amendment #1 to IGA #186907 between the State of Oregon, the Oregon Health Authority and Klamath County Public Health, and Amendment #6 to IGA #185817 for financing of public-health services. The board recorded unanimous approval of both amendments after Jessica Dale addressed the board.
The board approved a resolution opting in to ORS 105.668 (trail-use immunity) for the Board of Commissioners (RE2026-016) and separately approved identical opt-in resolutions during consecutive service-district meetings for the Drainage, Extension, Library and Road Service Districts (RE2026-017 through RE2026-020).
Other approved items included agreements and contracts for county operations: Amendment #2 to the Dry Creek Landfill agreement for operation of county waste transfer and disposal, a facilities rental quote for a Search and Rescue event, a professional services contract between Win-R Insulation, Inc. and Klamath County Public Health, and lease and procurement authorizations noted on the agenda. Each of these items was recorded as approved by unanimous vote.
The meeting record shows motions made and seconded by Commissioners DeGroot and Minty with no recorded dissents. The board adjourned at 1:23 p.m.
