The Broken Bow City Council approved its consent agenda April 11, which included the March 28, 2023 minutes and Bills to Date totaling $309,507.90.
The bills list included a number of line items noted in the minutes, including a final payment to Myers Construction Co. for Memorial Drive paving and storm sewer improvements ($115,696.95) and legal fees to Schaper and White Law Firm ($15,783.32). The aldermen approved the consent agenda on a motion moved by David Schmidt and seconded by David Baltz; the roll call vote was recorded as Schmidt, Baltz, Myers and Holland voting aye.
The council also approved the 2022 Annual Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Report on a motion moved by Schmidt and seconded by Holland; the roll call vote recorded Schmidt, Holland and Baltz voting aye and Councilmember Chris Myers recording an abstention.
Mayor Rod Sonnichsen announced City Wide Clean Up for Saturday, April 29, and two free tree-dump days (April 29 and May 6) with specified hours. The council reviewed three roofing bids from Strong 1 LLC, Weathercraft Roofing and Tri-Cities Roofing & Sheet Metal and deferred a decision to the next council meeting.
The minutes do not show public comment on the consent items; the council adjourned at 6:19 p.m.
