Broken Bow council appoints David Schmidt as city administrator; deputy clerk and airport board seats also filled

The council approved corrected staggered term expirations for Airport Authority members: David Minnick (term ending December 2026), Robert Staab (term ending December 2028) and Kayti Kremlacek (term ending December 2024). The minutes record the corrected terms as part of the council’s motion on the airport board.
In mayor and council comments after the votes, Mayor Rod Sonnichsen, Councilmember Chris Myers and Council President David Schmidt thanked city staff; Schmidt said serving on the council has been rewarding and that he is excited to move into the administrator role.
