The Broken Bow City Council voted April 11 to raise rates at the city-owned RV Park, approving a new fee schedule that increases the daily rate from $20 to $35 and replaces the weekly rate with seasonal monthly pricing.
Paul Holland moved and Chris Myers seconded the motion to adopt the new schedule; the roll call vote was recorded as Holland, Myers, Baltz and Schmidt voting aye and the motion carried. The council listed the prior and new rates during the motion.
Under the new schedule, the daily rate will be $35. Weekly rates are removed. Seasonal monthly rates are set at $750 from April 1 through Sept. 30 and $600 from Oct. 1 through March 31. The council approved the rates to take effect May 1, 2023, for new customers and June 1, 2023, for existing customers.
City officials said the change replaces the prior daily rate of $20, weekly rate of $120 and previously posted seasonal blocks (previous summer block listed as $500 May 1–Aug. 31 and $380 Sept. 1–Apr. 30). The council did not attach additional implementation conditions in the minutes.
The rate change was passed as a formal motion during the regular council meeting; residents affected by the change can contact the city clerk’s office for billing and reservation details.
