Broken Bow officials review One- and Six-Year Street Plan; Memorial Drive work complete

Street Superintendent Steve Parr of JEO Consulting Group briefed the Broken Bow City Council on the One- and Six-Year Street Plan for fiscal 2023–24, saying the Memorial Drive renovation has been completed and two projects remain on the one-year schedule: improvements in Eagle Crest Subdivision and a water crossing on South 15th Avenue. Parr asked the council for input in the next couple of months to finalize priorities for the coming year.
Mayor Rod Sonnichsen said he would convene council members to discuss ideas and prepare the city’s submission for the One- and Six-Year Plan. No formal vote or funding decision occurred at the meeting; the presentation served as an update and a request for direction.
The One- and Six-Year Street Plan guides scheduling and funding for street maintenance and capital projects. Council input in the coming weeks will determine which local projects are prioritized for inclusion in the one-year program.
