Commission hears summer events update: Boundless Playground reopening, farmer's market and fishing derby drew crowds

The farmer's market is scheduled to begin Saturday, June 6, 9 a.m. to noon, and will run weekly through October with more than 40 vendors, live music and family activities. The fishing derby was described as well-attended despite rain, and volunteers including school clubs helped with cleanup after fireworks associated with Memorial Day events. Commissioners thanked staff and volunteers and asked staff to provide details about rented/borrowed speaker equipment used at the Memorial Day ceremony.
No formal votes were taken on events; staff asked the commission to continue supporting outreach and volunteer recruitment.
