RSU 23 board adds technology committee and adopts several policies

At the Jan. 19 RSU 23 board meeting, members voted unanimously to add a Technology Committee to the district’s list of standing committees and approved several board policies.
Michelle Violette moved to add the Technology Committee; Peter Flaherty seconded and the motion passed unanimously. Peter Flaherty read policies IJOC (School Volunteers) and DKC (Expense Authorization and Reimbursement) aloud to the board. A subsequent motion by Michelle Violette, seconded by Stu Hogan, approved policies BDE (School Board Standing Committees), IMG (Animals in School), IMGA (Service Animals in School) and DJ (Bidding/Purchasing Requirements); that motion also passed unanimously.
Board members thanked staff involved in policy preparation and audit support. The meeting concluded after an executive session; the board entered executive session at 6:58 p.m., ended it at 7:35 p.m., and adjourned at 7:36 p.m.
