Jean also asked the board to set a public hearing for a tax abatement request for a property in Avoca (address read from the packet) on August 5 at 9 a.m.; the board set the hearing by motion. Staff noted there is no county money involved in the watershed incentive and explained the septic funding qualifies because of imminent public-health concerns.
The motion to recommend the incentive and the motion to set the hearing both carried by voice vote.
