County staff add roll-off, signage and consider fencing after weekend overflow at recycling drop-off

"They brought out another roll off dumpster for us... and Todd at the facility spent about an hour cleaning up the surrounding area," Doug said when describing the immediate response. Vivian reported calling the waste vendor, who said he was surprised and immediately brought a replacement dumpster and apologized.
Staff discussed short-term mitigations—additional roll-offs on busy holiday weekends, clearer signage instructing users to flatten cardboard and to place material inside the shed, temporary windbreak fencing, and monitoring the site at the end of high-use days. Commissioners asked staff to follow up and to consider multilingual signage if needed.
Outcome: Staff added an extra roll-off, will produce clearer signage and monitor the site; the board asked staff to return if problems persist.
