White Plains board honors retirees and recognizes tenure recipients

Separately, the board announced tenure recommendations for a set of teachers (Erica Richardson; Meen Batista; Tara Daly; Jessica Maracella; Justine Shubaron; Jolanda Rodriguez) and introduced Irene Auzi as the new director of mathematics, science, engineering and career and technology education. Trustees congratulated the new tenured staff and retiring colleagues and noted plans to publish photos and videos of the event to the district newsletter and YouTube channel.
The board emphasized that retirement is both a celebration and an institutional milestone; trustees encouraged retirees to remain involved as substitutes or occasional contributors if they wish.
