Commissioners approve temporary hardship permit allowing two RVs for family on Billy Goat Subdivision lot

The Sweetwater County Board approved a temporary use permit (resolution 26-06-ZO-01) on June 16 that allows applicants Shane and Andrea Aylesworth to use up to two recreational vehicles as temporary dwellings on property owned by Lisa and Robert Adams.
County Planner Cassidy Brown summarized the application: staff posted public notice, received some adverse adjacent-owner comments (noise, privacy concerns) but also on-site inspections finding the property orderly. The Planning and Zoning Commission recommended the permit 3-0 with staff conditions that limit the permit to the Aylesworth family and to two RVs, prohibit generator use, and require continued use of the primary dwelling's sanitary and kitchen facilities.
Andrea Aylesworth, one of the applicants, described the household's medical and housing needs during public comment: "My husband has to sleep in a chair because he can't lay on his back because of oxygen, and he's on an oxygen tank... This is just the safest net that I can find for my family." She said the family keeps the property clean and intends to request yearly renewals only as long as needed.
Commissioner Richards, who had attended the P&Z meeting and visited the site, moved to approve the hardship exception, saying the approval would have "minimal" community impact and a great benefit to the family. The motion passed unanimously.
