Plan Commission recommends three certified survey maps to council, including quarry boundary correction and stormwater easement

The Plan Commission on June 9 recommended the City Council approve three certified survey maps addressing parcel consolidation, boundary corrections and stormwater access.

Director of Neighborhood and Building Services Drager presented each CSM. For CSM 2026‑06 at N3628 County Road K he said the county issued a conditional use permit for a larger shed, which motivated combining two parcels, and staff recommended waiving the city's required dedication of right‑of‑way "given the amount of time that it has been right away" and prior county practice. For CSM 2026‑07 (W5812 County Road M) Drager described mapping errors and a proposal to convert three lots into two so the quarry sits wholly on one parcel; he said the new property line would "prohibit it from moving west," addressing staff concerns about expansion toward the city. For the city CSM 2026‑08 at 312 South Fourth Street Drager said the owner agreed to include a public easement for a public stormwater sewer on the final map, a condition staff will require before the CSM goes to council.

Each item was moved, seconded, and recommended to the City Council; Chairperson Manager Houseman noted 3C, 3D and 3E will appear on the City Council agenda for the meeting on June 16.
