School board votes to extend offer to attorney Scott Bennett

The chair explained that the RFQs were posted and that five submissions were received and shared with board members on a shared drive. "He has extensive uh school law experience," the board member said, adding that "he's done this for over 30 years" and noting Bennetts state- and national-level recognition.
After the nomination, a motion was made and seconded to extend an offer to Bennett. Members responded "Aye," the chair announced that the motion carried and said the board would reach out to Bennett with next steps. The chair also called for and obtained approval of the meeting agenda earlier in the session. Mr. Huddleston reported there were no public comments. The board scheduled its next meeting for June 22 at 6:00 p.m. at Central Office and then adjourned.
