Maple Valley council reschedules retreat and votes to add discussion of council format to a future agenda

During the March 24 meeting Mayor Sean P. Kelly announced that the Council Retreat originally scheduled for May 3 would be rescheduled to Monday, June 2 from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Councilmembers Didem Pierson and Victoria Schroff asked for an additional meeting of the Council Expense Subcommittee to finalize recommendations.
Mayor Kelly requested a discussion regarding council format and the use of council subcommittees; Council voted unanimously, 7-0, to add that topic to a future agenda. The minutes show no debate or amendment to that request; the action was recorded as an addition to the future agenda.
The minutes also announce a special joint meeting for March 31, 2025 at Lake Wilderness Lodge with Zoom information to follow.
