Maple Valley council approves consent calendar covering $2.57 million in payments and multiple contracts

Councilmember Didem Pierson moved approval of the consent calendar; Councilmember Syd Dawson seconded and the motion carried, 6-0. The consent items included minutes for March 24 and March 31, 2025; payment runs and direct deposits; and a Service Level Agreement with the Washington State Office of the Secretary of State Archives and Records Management Division for records management and imaging services (Resolution No. R-25-1959).
Council also took final acceptance actions and closeout authorizations for public works and procurement items: Resolution No. R-25-1963 constituted final acceptance of Public Works Construction Contract C-24-4120 for the S-23 Miscellaneous Catch Basin Replacement Project and authorized staff to close out the contract with Rivers Edge Environmental Services; Resolution No. R-25-1964 authorized release of retainage for precast concrete culvert manufacture and delivery to Jensen Enterprises Inc. for S-18; and Resolution No. R-25-1965 authorized Amendment 1 to Grant Agreement G-24-4038 for the 2023–2025 Climate Planning Grant with the Washington State Department of Commerce.
The council also authorized Amendment 2 to the professional services agreement with MIG for design of three permanent message boards for the F-07 Project (Resolution No. R-25-1966). All resolutions on the consent calendar were approved by voice vote with no recorded objections.
Councilmembers did not debate the individual financial transactions during the consent vote; staff will proceed with the listed contract closeouts, retainage release and grant amendment per the approved motions.
