Avon PZC approves minutes, updates appraiser list and plans July hearing for zoning changes required by PA 25‑1

At its May 19 meeting the Avon Planning & Zoning Commission approved April minutes, approved an updated appraiser list with requested additions, and directed staff to schedule a July hearing for Zoning Regulation revisions required by PA 25‑1; commissioners were also asked to submit POCD consultant rankings.
After continuing the 100 Nod Road public hearing, the Avon Planning & Zoning Commission took several administrative actions. Clay Stevenson moved to approve the April 21 meeting minutes, the motion was seconded by Christine Graesser and recorded as approved. The commission approved a Real Estate Appraisers List with instructions that staff add appraiser license numbers, expiration dates and a creation date.
Planning Director Hiram Peck reported SLR Consulting will prepare required Zoning Regulation revisions mandated by PA 25‑1 and said a redline and summary of the changes will be provided to the commission. A hearing on those revisions will likely be scheduled in July. Peck also asked commissioners to submit feedback within one week on consultant rankings for the POCD consultant interview shortlist.
