The acting director opened a trustee regular commissioner meeting and said it was their first session in that role, then announced the body did not have a quorum and therefore could not conduct formal business. “I don’t know, this is my first meeting as acting director for a trustee regular commissioner meeting and we don’t have a quorum,” the acting director said.
Because there was no quorum, the acting director said their only official duty was to call the meeting and set the next date. They announced the next meeting would be held July 15 at 4:00 p.m. at the courthouse.
A participant responded approvingly after the brief remarks. With no quorum present, no motions were made and no votes were taken. The meeting was not able to proceed to substantive agenda items and will reconvene on the date announced by the acting director.
